The Secret of the Swamp is a Secondary Quest from the Lost Valley DLC in Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Quests are different tasks and missions that a player can acquire and partake in throughout the game, quests are usually unlocked through the main campaign, during a series of events, or are given by certain NPCs. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey.

The Secret of the Swamp Walkthrough

Travel to the Swamp (Location) and reach the Ruined Temple to activate the quest. The Ruined Temple is on the east area of the swamp. You may encounter this area when following the Forge questline and progressing through The Dryad Queen.

Your journey here may trigger some battles, but you may notice some rune markings on the wall when you are in the right location. Interact with them to activate the quest.

Learn About the Ruins

You will need to speak to Tuznan Anfarel from the city. Travel to Caer Hyfryd and look for him near the temple.

Escort Tuznan

Return to the Swamp and take him to the area where the runes on the ruined walls were examined. As you continue, you may need to clear a battle against a few skeletons and a Spectral Avenger. During this fight, try to begin with your ranged attacks if available. And allow Tuznan to cushion some blows, taking in more damage than your characters. You must clear a the battle to continue. This will trigger a cutscene. 

 

Stop the Ritual

This triggers another battle against Tuznan and some skeletons. Prioritize your attacks on Tuznan and clear him out first while keeping a distance from the skeletons and staying out of the line of sight from their ranged attacks. Clear the the once on the ground as they approach and this will eventually end the battle and complete the quest. 

 

 

How to obtain The Secret of the Swamp

  • Purchase and download the Lost Valley DLC in order to be able to access this quest. Progress through the main questline, and through a desired Faction questline until the Swamp (Location) is unlocked. Travel to the Swamp and reach the Ruined Temple to activate the quest.
