Shallow Grave is a Secondary Quest from the Lost Valley DLC in Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Quests are different tasks and missions that a player can acquire and partake in throughout the game, quests are usually unlocked through the main campaign, during a series of events, or are given by certain NPCs. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey. This is a Faction Quest from The Rebellion. Completing this quest will increase your relationship with The Rebellion.

Complete A Thief's Work and speak to Sima Temple in the Caer Hyfryd Inn to activate the quest. This will lead you to the next location.
Find Charmer in the Swamps
Once you reach the Swamp, you may be attacked by a horde of Orcs if they haven't been previously cleared out. Note which Orcs have ranged attacks such as the Archer and the Shaman. The Shaman in particular has the ability to cast Lighting, so if you can, clear out the Shamans first to decrease damage intake. Clear the Orcs in the area then cross the swamps where the broken up wooden platforms are. There will be a tree to knock down to act as a bridge. Interact with it and continue to cross. You may need to use an arrow or any other ranged attack to reach it. This will trigger a tutorial.
- Tutorial - Remote Triggers: Most of these interactable objects can be triggered from a distance by using a ranged weapon like a bow, crossbow, or even a dart. You can also use attack cantrips. Remember, though, you still have to hit your target to trigger it.
Use the wooden platforms to reach the knocked over tree and cross the swamp.
Track the quest to be able to view the location of the objective marker. You'll be following the marker north until you reach you location. At the last platform you will come across a torch. From here, take the rock platforms to the left to finish crossing. There will be a Shack in the area that you can loot. Following the marker north further will unlock the River and eventually, the Forge Camp on your map.
Follow the sets of torches to reach the camp. Entering the camp will unlock the Forge Camp Waypoint on your map. If not previously unlocked, entering this location may unlock the quest, The Swamp Base depending on your relation standing with the Forge.
Choice: Kill Charmer
Find Proof about Charmer's Guilt
- You found a ring in Charmer's possessions belonging to the Dominion. You can either kill him or report him to the forge.
Once you reach the base, cross the bridge entrance to trigger reach your target and trigger a conversation and a tutorial.
- Tutorial - Attacking Neutral Chracters: To attack a neutral character, put your party in cautious mode, approach the target, and select an attack option or spell. Aim at the target character then confirm. If the target is friendly, your relationship will be damaged, and that character may hate you enough to retaliate.
You may choose to kill him directly or pick pocket his belongings in the tent to look for proof. Choosing to pickpocket him will give you the choice to Incriminate him.

If you choose to incriminate Charmer, you can speak to Hasdrubal and they will deal with him. This will complete the objective.
Report to Sima
Return to Sima Temple in Caer Hyfryd to complete the quest. This will begin the next quest, Rebel Outpost and will unlock the Pertal Outpost destination on your map.
How to obtain Shallow Grave
- This quests can be activated after purchasing and downloading the Lost Valley DLC. Progress in Escape the Lost Valley and speak to Sima Temple to complete A Thief's Work to activate this quest.
