The Cylindrical Prism is a Secondary Quest from the Lost Valley DLC in Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Quests are different tasks and missions that a player can acquire and partake in throughout the game, quests are usually unlocked through the main campaign, during a series of events, or are given by certain NPCs. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey.

This quest can be activated after reaching the Secret Facility and beginning The Research Complex Quest. You will need to make your way through the Facility, take the Elevator down to the underground levels and navigate through the Security Room and make your way to the Tunnels until you reach the northern section.
Northern Section
Continue forward down this hall and a new waypoint, Northern Section. If you continue forward, you will begin a battle. While you are here, you can attack the creatures you see first to get the first attack in. You can do this while keeping some of your characters hidden. You will be facing a Mutant Minotaur and a Mutant Tiger Drake. Clear the Drake who will only have 39 HP and you can focus solely on the Minotaur who will stand at 142 HP. Since the area is so small, you can stand your ground and continue to bombart it with your ranged attacks. There is a trap directly in front if you didn't step in too far. If you didn't approach past it, it will take a turn to pass the trap and take some damage and you can continue to attack until his hp is depleted. Clear the last trap and continue to be cautious. Highlight the area to find the interactable keyhole on the wall. Interact with it to begin the quest.
Find the Cylinder Prism Key
This key would've been located back at the Security Room, in a dining hall area. Loot it on the table before proceeding to the Elevator to the underground.
Use the Cylinder Prism Key
This can be used deep into the tunnels in the Major Gate Room. This is across the Testing Arena and past the Northern Section of the Tunnels.
To access this area, you will need to clear the mutated test subjects in the arena to gain access to the corpse that will have the Sphere Prism Key required for the Major Gate Room. Return to the Major Gate Room which is directly north of the testing arena, use the key on the gate to access the area. Take the East hallway and interact with the switch to complete this quest. Entering the Major Gate Room will also complete the The Sphere Prism Key secondary quest.
Take the east hall and open the security gate. There will be another gate past this where you can use the Cylinder Prism Key.
How to obtain The Cylindrical Prism
- Purchase and download the Lost Valley DLC in order to be able to access this quest. Progress through the main questline, and through a desired Faction questline until you unlock the Secret Facility.
