Wild Encounter is a Main Quest in Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Quests are different tasks and missions that a player can acquire and partake in throughout the game, quests are usually unlocked through the main campaign, during a series of events, or are given by certain NPCs. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey.
Wild Encounter Objectives
Escape the Wolves
- You are trapped by the wolves... get ready to fight!
Get Rid of the Wolves
- Defeat the wolves by any means necessary. Use a shove action to push them off the bridge, and kill them in one turn before they surround you.
- You have survived the attack!
Disengage and Push the Rock
- The new opponent is too tough for you! Disengage and immediately move to push the rock in order to break the natural bridge and to get rid of the Grayback Wolf.
Wild Encounter Walkthrough
Get Rid of the Wolves
As soon as you start this quest, you'll immediately find yourself in a battle against x3 Starving Wolf enemies. This quest serves as a tutorial regarding the basic combat system of the game. First, you'll encounter two Starving Wolves in front of the character.
You can dash behind the wolf that's at the center so that you can attack one of them later and then shove the other one off the cliff. Don't worry since most of their attacks will miss. You'll get a couple of tutorials as you go regarding attacking and some actions such as shoving or pushing an enemy. Kill all three wolves to obtain the next objective.
Disengage and Push the Rock
After killing all three of the wolves, Wild Encounter, and when you get to the other side, a Grayback Wolf will appear. You'll immediately be prompted with a tutorial regarding Disengaging telling you to disengage and to avoid fighting this strong enemy.
This action will allow you to move freely without any risk of opportunity attacks, however, during this action, you won't be able to attack or dash. Quickly use Disengage and run behind the rock, push it down to the bridge, causing it to collapse and the Grayback Wolf to fall to its death. This completes the quest.
How to obtain Wild Encounter
- One of the starting quests during the prologue of the game in Early Access. This quest is automatically obtained when the characters start to tell their backstory.
