Dirty Deeds is a Main Quest in Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Quests are different tasks and missions that a player can acquire and partake in throughout the game, quests are usually unlocked through the main campaign, during a series of events, or are given by certain NPCs. Completing a quest also grants various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey.
Dirty Deeds Objectives
Enter the Fort
- Use cautious mode to find the tracks leading to the weak spot in the wall. Then enter the fort by crawling through the hole if necessary. On the way, you can pick up the Thieves' Tools that Liam left near the wall of the fort.
Reach the Next Courtyard
- Move to the closed door and pick the lock. You need Thieves' Tools for this.
Find the Treasure Room
- Climb through the window and check the place for traps, remaining in cautious mode. Disarm any trap you find.
Get the Key
- Steal the Treasure Room Key from the Quartermaster.
Escape from the Fort
- Remain in cautious mode and backtrack until you leave through the fort's wall.
Kill the Loan Shark and save Liam!
- Liam has been captured by the loan shark and is fighting for his life! Use your vantage point to shoot the loan shark.
Dirty Deeds Walkthrough
Enter the Fort
This quest serves as a tutorial for Stealth. Upon starting, enter Cautious Mode to break into the fort. For the entire time completing this quest, you'll need to be in stealth mode since there are multiple guards that are patrolling the area. You'll easily be spotted and the game will be over once you are caught. Upon entering Cautious Mode, you'll see tracks of Liam that's by the walls of the fort.
Follow it until you reach a barrel that contains the Thieves' Tools that contains a set of items used for lockpicking and disarming traps. After collecting the Tool item, continue following the tracks that will lead you to a hole in the wall that's blocked with wood. Interact with it to push it, allowing you to crawl underneath an opening that leads inside the fort.
Reach the Next Courtyard
Upon entering the fort, walk forward and interact with the door to pick the lock using the Thieves' Tools that you just acquired. After unlocking the door, you'll receive the next objective which is to find the treasure room through the courtyard. When you enter the courtyard, you'll gain a secondary objective which is to find the Treasure Room Key, apart from that, you'll also be prompted with a tutorial on how to use Sleight of Hand. On the right side, sneak your way to the patio and you'll see the quartermaster standing by the fountain, walk up a bit and wait for the other guard near the Quartermaster to move before you walk behind the Bandit Quartermaster and click on him when the hand icon appears to steal the Golden Key.
Now that you have the key, go back and work your way through the side of the courtyard until you reach another locked door that you can open with the Thieves' Tools. Head inside the inner courtyard, climb the box on the left, and then the vines to reach the open window. Upon entering the room, your character will be alerted and mention that there's a trap nearby. Click the red indicator to disarm the trap with the use of the Thieves' Tools. Enter the Treasure Room by using the Golden Key and you'll see another trap by the chest on the right side of the bed. Click on it to disarm it and loot the chest to find Liam's Heirloom and some gold.
Escape from the Fort
Now you have Liam's gem, all you have to do is to escape the fort by remaining in cautious mode and backtrack until you reach the secret opening which is the fort's wall where you came in. When you walk up towards the vine to climb down, a short cutscene will trigger where you'll see a Loan Shark who's about to fight Liam who's drunk.
You'll be prompted with another tutorial regarding critical characters after the short cutscene. A battle will then trigger, since you're on high ground, you can use this to your advantage for a surprise attack. Equip your shortbow and shoot the loan shark to kill him. This completes the quest.
How to obtain Dirty Deeds
- One of the starting quests during the prologue of the game in Early Access. This quest is automatically obtained when the characters start to tell their backstory.
