does not boost your charisma past 2, if you have a charisma class that can use a shield COUGH PALADIN COUGH it might be worth while to boost your charisma to 18 then cap off with this shield. Although it you are the only shield user in the game the +2 shield gives this one a runs for its money. But personally I'd take an asi/feat over 1 ac any day.
